Beirut explosion
Lebanon's ambassador to Jordan, Tracy Chamoun, submitted her resignation, Thursday, in protest against what she described as "total negligence" in the administration against the background of the explosion in the Beirut port, which she considered as a "warning bell" for the departure of the combined political class.
Rescue workers in Lebanon continue to dig under the rubble in search of survivors of the devastating blast that struck Beirut's port on Tuesday, killing 137 people and wounding 5,000.
A Qatari and a Greek plane carrying aid arrived in Lebanon after the explosion that shook Beirut Port. Official Lebanese media sources announced that the Qatari plane "carries medical aid and supplies and two fully equipped field hospitals, each containing 500 beds to treat the injured," but did not reveal the nature of the Greek aid.
